My Approach to Product Photography
I learnt photography in the days of film. As a result, I aim to get the image right as far as possible in-camera. This reduces the time I spend in post-production. This counts especially with bigger product photography assignments and shortens the turn-around time between shoot and delivery.
For the majority of my clients, I do the product photography in my studio in Cape Town, but I also have the occasional request to photograph items on site. This is especially the case, where the products are either too large to transport or too valuable to leave my client’s premises. For larger products, I also make use of a rental studio in Cape Town.
Where needed, I do finer retouch in Photoshop to present your product in the possible light.
Delivery and Backup of the Images
- Online Delivery: I deliver your product photography images via a secure online gallery provided by Photoshelter, one of the specialists in image delivery in the world. You have access to the download for 30 days after delivery. You can download all your images in full resolution. In case, you have questions on how this works, please have a look at the How-To, I wrote.
- Online Access: Some clients need access for more than 30 days. This is of course possible. A small fee is applicable to set this up for you.
- Backup: I keep your images and back them up. Many clients are surprised when I recreate a gallery within minutes even years after the shoot.
