Commercial Photographer in Cape Town
Pictures Tell the Story of Your Brand
Since 2007, I have been creating pictures to tell my clients' stories.
I grew up with a camera in my hands and since yearly years set my focus on becoming a professional photographer.
I started working as a freelance photographer for a local newspaper while studying at university. In those days we still photographed on film, which taught me valuable lessons that I apply to my work today.
Now, that I work exclusively digital, I benefit from my experience to get as much as possible right in camera and can focus on other things in post production. For many of my portraits, I use film simulations, which emulate the look and feel of images shot on film.

I love working with people
Over the years, Iearnt that most people don’t like to be photographed.
In a professional context, it is often not your choice to have portraits taken for your business, but it helps to add personality to your brand.
With many years of experience, I grew a deeper insight into body language and how you can present yourself in front of the camera to bring out your best side into the frame.
Where possible, I work with a makeup artist for a polished, but natural look.
I keep traditional face retouch to a minimum, as I believe that it is important to show who you are.
When I started my business as photographer in Cape Town, I did not focus on commercial work.
I transitioned into commercial photography and enjoy what many might see as limitations. Brands have their own identity and I love learning the visual language that those brands represent.

Cooperation with other businesses is key for me for my personal and business growth. It is the reason why I am part of BNI, the world’s largest business networking organisation. Beyond this, I build deep relationships with businesses that can help my clients to achieve more.
