Executives, directors, non-executive board members, lawyers, financial advisers, management consultants, coaches, and entrepreneurs book individual headshots for one reason: their professional image is visible before they are. A headshot appears on a company website team page, a LinkedIn profile, a press and media kit, a speaker bio, a board pack, an investor presentation, or an annual report. In each of those contexts, it is doing a job before the person walks into the room, joins the call, or takes the stage.

At a senior level, the gap between a strong image and a weak one is immediately noticeable. Investors, journalists, clients, and potential employers form an impression in seconds. A photograph taken on a phone in poor light, or a corporate headshot from five years and two roles ago, signals something, even if it is unintentional. The studio is at the Saltcircle Building in Woodstock, Cape Town. Clients come from the CBD, the V&A Waterfront, the Southern Suburbs, and Stellenbosch. Sessions are compact and focused, with no unnecessary ceremony. On-set direction and real-time screen review are built in precisely because most executives and senior professionals dislike being photographed.
