A brief up front
A quick conversation about the context: how the images will be used, how many people, background preferences, and any brand guidelines. Five minutes now saves time on the day.

On-set direction
Most people feel uncomfortable in front of a camera. The session is designed to change that. Coaching on posture, expression, and positioning, with real-time review on screen so you can see the result as we work.

Edited delivery
Final retouched images delivered within two working days as a standard. Web and print resolution, ready to use across your website, LinkedIn, press pack, and print collateral.
Why it matters
The image is doing work before you say a word
A profile photograph is often the first impression a prospective client, investor, or new colleague will have of you. It appears on LinkedIn, in press coverage, on your company website, in pitch decks, and in speaker bios. The quality of that image reflects on you and on your business.
The technical standard is a given. What distinguishes a strong portrait from a competent one is expression: a natural, confident version of the person, not a performance. That is the part that requires an experienced photographer and a well-run session.

Common questions
Practical answers before you enquire
Do I need to come to the studio, or can you come to us?
Both. The studio at the Saltcircle Building in Woodstock is set up for individual and small group sessions. For team shoots of three or more people, I bring a full mobile studio to your office or preferred location anywhere across the Cape Town metro.
How long does a team shoot take?
Each person takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes in front of the camera. For a team of 10, expect around two hours including setup, briefing, and buffer time between subjects. Larger teams are quoted with a full-day rate.
Can we match headshots taken at different times?
Yes. I keep a record of the lighting setup, background, and processing style used for each team, so new starters and replacement headshots can be matched to the existing set.
What should people wear?
Business or business casual, consistent with how the company is represented publicly. Avoid very fine stripes, busy patterns, and logos. A brief note to staff before the day is usually sufficient.
How quickly will we receive the images?
Edited images are delivered within two working days as standard. Same-day or next-day turnaround is available on request for event-driven deadlines.
