About these terms

These terms govern the provision of photography services by Jürgen's Photography CC (registration 2007/001109/23), trading as Jürgen's Photography, based at the Saltcircle Building, 19 Kent Street, Woodstock, Cape Town. Booking a session constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Booking and payment

All sessions are confirmed upon receipt of a signed quote or written confirmation via email. A 50% deposit is required to secure the date; the balance is due on or before the day of the shoot. Payment is accepted by EFT or credit card. Jürgen's Photography CC is not VAT-registered; no VAT is charged.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Cancellations with more than 5 business days' notice: the deposit is refunded in full. Cancellations with 2 to 5 business days' notice: 50% of the deposit is retained. Cancellations with less than 2 business days' notice: the full deposit is retained. Rescheduling is accommodated subject to availability and requires at least 2 business days' notice.

Delivery and image rights

Edited images are delivered as high-resolution digital files via a download link within two working days as standard. Rush turnaround is available at an additional fee. Images delivered are licensed for the client's own commercial and personal use. Resale or sublicensing to third parties requires written consent. Jürgen's Photography retains copyright in all images and may use them for portfolio and promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise in writing before the shoot.

On the day

The photographer will work to the agreed brief. Changes to scope on the day (additional subjects, additional time, additional locations) will be quoted and agreed before proceeding. The client is responsible for ensuring subjects are available and briefed at the agreed time.

Liability

Jürgen's Photography carries professional indemnity and public liability insurance. In the unlikely event of equipment failure or unforeseen circumstances, liability is limited to a reshoot at no charge or a refund of fees paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Cape Town.
