Commercial Photography
Photography for business. Built around the brief
Product photography, brand imagery, lifestyle, technology, and corporate aviation. Shoots planned from a structured brief, delivered to a standard that works across print, web, and press.
Specialisms
What the brief covers
Product photography
Products photographed for use, not just for display.
In-context product photography, lifestyle product shots, and detail work for e-commerce, print, and web. Consistent lighting and colour accuracy across a range of products.
Brand & lifestyle
Photography that fits the brand, not the other way around.
On-location and in-studio brand photography for businesses that need imagery beyond the standard headshot. Staff in context, service environments, brand moments.
Technology & UX
Interfaces, devices, and the people who use them.
User experience photography for technology products, kiosks, and digital interfaces. Accurate, clean documentation that works for press, investor decks, and product pages.
Corporate aviation
Aviation and executive travel photography.
Aircraft interiors, flight crew portraits, and corporate aviation brand photography. Experience with private jet operators and aviation clients across Cape Town.
The approach
The brief is the job, not an afterthought
Commercial photography that works is photography that was planned. Before any commercial shoot, a written brief covers the deliverables, the use cases, the locations, the people involved, and the technical requirements.
That brief is what determines the shot list, the lighting approach, the scheduling, and the final output format. It is also the standard against which the final delivery is measured.
Projects are quoted on a fixed-price basis. No per-hour surprises. If the brief changes during the shoot, the quote is updated before work continues.
Common questions
Before you send an enquiry
What kinds of commercial briefs do you take on?
Product photography, brand and lifestyle imagery, technology and UX photography, corporate aviation, and editorial business photography. If the brief is about documenting a business, its products, or its people in a commercial context, it likely falls within scope.
Do you work with a stylist or creative director?
For shoots that require styling, props, or art direction, I can work alongside your team or refer you to trusted specialists. The brief determines whether additional production support is needed.
Can you supply images in multiple formats for different uses?
Yes. Final delivery includes the agreed image files at web and print resolution. Format requirements and colour space preferences are confirmed during the brief.
What is your day rate for commercial work?
Commercial photography is quoted per project based on the brief, shoot duration, and intended usage. Send a brief and I will come back with a fixed quote, typically within 2 hours on a weekday.
