The brief
A recurring brief for one of South Africa's most established financial publishers
Citywire is one of the world's most recognised financial publishing brands, with a South African operation that hosts annual investment forums, retreats, gala dinners, and awards across the country. The recurring brief: produce a strategic visual library that serves multiple downstream uses, from press releases and conference websites through to social media channels and Citywire journals.
The partnership began in June 2022 with the Fancourt retreat in George. By the end of 2026, twelve events will have been covered across two venues: Fancourt in George and the Belmond Mount Nelson in Cape Town. Roughly half the events have been at each venue, with the George retreat anchoring the calendar as the most prestigious of the year.
Each event covers the full programme: opening keynotes, panel sessions, breakout discussions, the gala dinner, the awards evening, and the networking that holds the rest together. Coverage runs from first session to last drink. Speakers including Dr Azar Jammine, Pieter du Preez, and journalist Rebecca Davies have featured across multiple years.
