Stellenbosch & Winelands
Corporate Event Photographer Stellenbosch
Conferences, awards evenings, and estate functions across the Cape Winelands.
Companies move their conferences, awards evenings, and reward programmes out to Stellenbosch for a reason, and the photography has to hold up to it. Estate venues bring conditions a city ballroom never does: outdoor sessions, changing light, and a golden hour worth planning the running order around. Eighteen years of corporate event coverage, brought out from the Woodstock studio with the travel quoted up front.
Quote back the same working day. Travel to the Winelands included.
Currently booking conference and event dates through December 2026. Most enquiries quoted within the same working day.
On the estate
What a Winelands venue changes about the coverage
The brief is the same as any corporate event. The conditions are not. Three things drive how a Stellenbosch shoot is planned.
Estates are half outdoors
A city venue has one lighting condition. An estate has several within an hour: hard midday light on a lawn, deep shade under oaks, warm low sun across the vines, then candlelight indoors. The kit that handles a hotel ballroom does not cover that on its own.
The light is the reason people came
Golden hour on a Winelands estate is the shot the client remembers, and it lasts about forty minutes. That is planned into the running order in advance, not hoped for. It usually means agreeing one deliberate pause in the programme before the day starts.
Distance changes the logistics
Stellenbosch is roughly 50 minutes from the Woodstock studio, which affects call times, backup equipment, and what can be resolved on the day. Everything travels in duplicate, because a courier run to fetch a spare is not an option once you are on an estate.

Beyond events
Photographer in Stellenbosch and the Winelands
Events are the usual reason for the drive, but they are not the only one. Team headshots at an estate office, a personal branding session on location, and commercial or product work all travel out on the same terms. If a team is already gathered for a conference or a strategy day, headshots photographed in a side room during a break are the cheapest images you will ever buy, because the travel and setup are already paid for.

Event photography in Stellenbosch, common questions
Do you charge travel to Stellenbosch?
No. Travel across Cape Town, the Winelands, the Helderberg, and the West Coast is included in the package rate, so a Stellenbosch booking costs exactly what the same event would cost in the city. There is no per-kilometre calculation and nothing added to the invoice for the drive. Briefs outside the Western Cape are quoted on request.
Which Winelands venues have you photographed at?
Estate work in the Winelands includes Spier Wine Farm and Quoin Rock in Stellenbosch, alongside personal branding and commercial work further out at Franschhoek and Somerset West. Most Cape Town corporate photography sits in the city, so a Winelands brief is quoted with the travel and timing built in rather than treated as a city job with a longer drive.
How early do you arrive for an estate event?
Earlier than for a city venue. Arrival is planned around the drive and a walk of the spaces before guests are in them: the ceremony or session area, the dinner setup, and wherever the golden-hour portraits will happen. For a programme starting at midday that usually means arriving mid-morning.
Can you cover a two-day programme with an overnight stay?
Yes. Multi-day Winelands programmes are quoted per engagement rather than by the package. Where an overnight stay is required, accommodation is either arranged by the client as part of the group booking or quoted as a line item. Incentive and reward programmes are covered in more detail on the incentive travel page.
How quickly are the images delivered?
Edited images are delivered within two working days of the event as standard, the same as any Cape Town booking. Where images are needed the same evening for social or press use, a live drops arrangement is set up in advance. Next-morning delivery is available at a 15% surcharge and same-day at 30%.
Do you carry insurance, and can you meet our procurement requirements?
Yes. Jürgen's Photography carries public liability and professional indemnity insurance, with certificates provided as part of the booking documentation for venues and clients that require them. Every shoot runs with dual camera bodies, backup lighting, and redundant card-based storage. B-BBEE Level 4 EME with 100% procurement recognition applies for corporate, JSE-listed, and SOE compliance. Full registration, tax, and compliance details are on the vendor information page.
