Portrait photography in Cape Town: from a single headshot to a full content library
Not all portrait photography serves the same purpose. A single strong headshot for LinkedIn is a different brief from a content library planned across multiple channels over a full year. The right session depends on where the images will be used, how many you need, and how long they need to last.
All portrait sessions run from the Woodstock studio at the Saltcircle Building, 19 Kent Street. On-set direction is part of every session: expression, posture, and positioning, reviewed on a large screen throughout so you see the result as it develops. Delivery is within two working days. Every session includes a reshoot commitment if the result does not match what was agreed at the start.

A single headshot, a LinkedIn-specific session, a personal branding library, or a team shoot. The sessions page for each service shows what is included and links to direct booking or a quote.

Brief
For headshot sessions, a quick note on where the image will be used. For branding and team sessions, a short conversation about the context, platforms, and what you want the images to do.

Session
The Woodstock studio is set up and ready when you arrive. On-set direction covers expression, posture, and positioning throughout. Images are reviewed on a large screen as the session progresses.

Delivery
Retouched JPEG files at full resolution (minimum 3,000 px) and web-optimised (1,200 px, sRGB), sent via private download link within two working days.

What is the difference between a headshot and a personal branding session?
A headshot is a single strong portrait, usually one or two images, structured around a primary use such as LinkedIn or a company website. A personal branding session produces a library: portraits, lifestyle images, environmental shots, and contextual images planned around multiple platforms and uses over the next year. If you need one image that looks right, a headshot session is the right fit. If you are building a visible professional presence and need material for LinkedIn, press, speaking, newsletters, and pitch decks, a branding session gives you the range to cover all of it.
How do I know which session is right for me?
The question to ask is: where will this image appear, and how many different images do I need? One or two images for a primary platform such as LinkedIn: a headshot session at R 1,500 plus R 400 per image selected. A full library for a year of content across multiple channels: a Studio Branding Session or above (from R 4,950). If you are unsure, send a brief and I will suggest the right session for your specific context.
Where is the studio?
The studio is at the Saltcircle Building, 19 Kent Street, Woodstock, Cape Town. It is accessible from the CBD, the Southern Suburbs, and the V&A Waterfront. Street parking is available on Kent Street.
How quickly are images delivered?
All portrait sessions deliver retouched JPEG files within two working days of the session. Full resolution (minimum 3,000 pixels on the long edge) and web-optimised (1,200 pixels, sRGB) versions are included. Next-morning delivery is available at +R 500.
Do you offer on-site sessions?
Yes. The mobile studio can travel to your office for team headshots of five or more people. Individual portrait sessions are studio-based at Woodstock. Personal branding sessions can include Cape Town location work as part of the brief, discussed before the session.
